For these people, the Russian war against Ukraine began a long time ago.
until February 24, 2022.
Since the beginning of Russian aggression against Ukraine in 2014, citizens
Ukrainians were kidnapped, illegally detained, persecuted and
deprived of their freedom in the occupied territories and in the Russian Federation.
Some of them still haven't returned home.
LongestHeld is an advocacy campaign dedicated to civilians,
who were illegally deprived of their personal freedom by Russia until February 24
2022 and who still remain in captivity.
We strive to make the years spent by a person in illegal detention,
did not cause its oblivion, but were a factor in accelerating
her return home.
We must not allow the duration of captivity to become a cause for oblivion!
